It’s that time again, we pick out the month’s staples for you to peruse – and we think we have a pretty solid lineup for the coming weeks…
Up first is perhaps the most important part of any makeup routine (after moisturiser, of course), and that’s primer. If you want your makeup to stay in place throughout the summery weather, a good primer is a must have. We love the Topshop Colour Correcting Primer (£12), an oil-controlling wonder that also helps to cancel out redness and minimise the appearance of blemishes.
Oil-absorbing powders take care of any shine throughout the day, while anti-inflammatory ingredients take care of redness. It’s an effortless first step that will improve the overall makeup look.
We love to follow this up with the RMS ‘Un’ Cover-up Concealer (£28), a must have for camouflaging all sorts of blemishes, uneven tone and scarring – all without looking obvious or heavy on the skin. RMS doesn’t use any harmful ingredients, making this a great product to have in your routine. We don’t have a bad thing to say about the stuff – it works brilliantly with a good fluffy concealer brush, applied directly to the skin before foundation.
Last in the dewy base routine is the new Bobbi Brown Intensive Skin Serum Foundation (£39), the latest addition to our foundation stash, and a good one at that. This is a light, silky lotion that infuses the skin with goodness to ensure the complexion looks energised and youthful. The fresh formula breathes life in to the skin, adding some much-needed radiance and turning around a dull complexion. The micro-pigments within help to conceal imperfections and redness while working on evening out the tone of the skin, resulting in a flawless result.
A quick routine to get your skin summer ready. Will you be trying this?
