Perfecting Your Primer Game

primer
There’s one product that will always have a place in our makeup routine, and that’s primer. These multi-tasking undercoats work to improve the wear of your base, while also promising a few other benefits too…

TOPSHOP COLOUR CORRECTING PRIMER, £12
We’re in awe of Topshop’s makeup line, the brand are forever churning out some impressive products with an even more impressive price tag. Their latest launch is no different; a green-tinted, skin smoothing primer that will enhance the skin by taking down redness, neutralising blemishes and other imperfections.

The primer also works to keep shine at bay – it contains mattifying powders to help keep a slick T-zone out of the equation. Usually these things can be quite drying, but Topshop seem to be winning at the primer thing – no parched complexion, and any oily patches are safely banished from the face.
We adore the soft, creamy texture as it literally melts in to the skin, there’s no need to rub at the skin as the formula just glides on. It’s not sticky and makeup applies beautifully over the top – and we find ourselves using a whole lot less of our base as this well and truly smoothes and soothes our complexion.

A lovely addition to any makeup routine, especially as we head out of winter and in to the warmer months. This staple will be sure to banish shine, tone down redness and really work to makeup looking its best, all day long.

Another Topshop find we can’t stop recommending! Have you tried this?

It sounds like an amazing one, does it work on oily skin though?

A CC primer could definitely help make a perfect base; I currently use Pixi Flawless and Poreless and it’s really great
