We’re still not over the marble trend – and while thinking up budget ways to improve our office space, we came up with the idea of transforming what would normally be an ordinary magazine file…
You Will Need:
Lay your magazine file down on your adhesive. Draw around the base of the file with your pencil, being careful not to press down to hard. Having guidelines on the adhesive really help! After drawing around the base of the file, pivot it to draw around all sides to complete your template – you can cut out a full template or just trace around sections of the file, before cutting them out individually and sticking them down.
Carefully cut out your template leaving 1-2cm of space. This will act as your overflow and will keep your adhesive looking neat when applied.
Position your magazine file in the middle of your template and start peeling off the adhesive in sections. We found it easier to start with the front, then attach the sides before tucking in all the edges.
Firmly press down the adhesive once everything is in place. It can create bubbles, but is easily solved by pressing firmly.
You can store any of your magazines, books or paperwork in it instantly. We love how easy it is to quickly spruce up a standard File.
