TWB: Trialling A Powdered Cleanser

fizzywashWe’re pretty much onboard with anything NUDE Skincare release; their products are always deliver impressive results and are packed with good ingredients, but we were hesitant when they launched a powdered, fizzy cleanser…

This sits somewhere between a light cleanser and an exfoliator, as the powdered particles are of different sizes and do polish the skin as you massage in the product. It’s a gentle concoction, with a bit of a novelty value as you have to pour the product in to your palm and mix with a small amount of water before applying.

The packaging is perfect for the job; a simple pop-lid with a small opening so as to not waste product. We found pouring out a small amount of the powder was enough, around the size of a 10 pence piece. Then just add in a few drops of water and mix lightly with a finger before applying to the skin. Spend a few minutes massaging in circular motions all over the face, concentrating on any areas of uneven tone as you go.

We think of this as a bit like a Berocca for the skin; it’s packed with brightening Vitamin C, powerful enzymes and rosehip and vanilla seeds to really make the most of the complexion.
The wash quickly detoxes the skin of impurities, sloughing away dead skin cells and other grime as you exfoliate – leaving behind a more refined, clearer complexion instantly.

The idea is to use this three times a week, but we think once or twice is fine. Despite what you may think, this isn’t stripping on the skin – there’s no tight, uncomfortable feeling after use and skin feels smooth and supple.
We may have been wary at first, but this stuff is the real deal; it’s a great addition to your skincare routine if you often notice your skin looking lacklustre or uneven.

Another NUDE winner that we can’t get enough of! Have you tried this?

I really do like the sound of this but powder cleansers aren’t new are they. I’ve noticed quite a few brands seem to be launching similar products recently and Dermalogica’s Daily Microfoliant has been around for a while x

This product actually reminds me of one that Dermalogica have, I can’t remember the name of it now but the concept of it sounds really quite interesting. As of yet I’m still to try Nude skincare although I do hope to at some point this year.

I loved the Dermalogica one! But I ruined mine by forgetting to put the cap back on in the shower…

This one sounds nice too though! Bet it lasts ages too!

I wonder how this would work on dry skin. Even foaming products are too trying for me, so I’m not sure how well fizzing would work.
