When it comes to spring shades, we have you covered; hints of coral, bright pops of pink and even a more subtle shade or two if that’s what you’re in to. If you’re feeling fresh, dewy cheeks this season, look no further than this line-up…
CLINIQUE CHEEK POP BLUSHER, £16.50
Our hearts were all aflutter when these flawless blushers were released, they may well be the prettiest product we’ve come across.
The Cheek Pops, which are available in four effortless shades, are not like your usual creamy blush – in fact they’re really in a league of their own. They’re quite spongy, making it easy to pick up product without going overboard, and the formula has a lovely hint of shimmer which is unusual in a creamy product.
The blushers are ‘virtually powderless’ so application is seamless; you have complete control over the product as you’re blending, which in turn makes it far easier to work in to skin for the most mesmerising pop of colour.
The wear time is also impressive, once these are blended they seem to set in place for hours and hours of wear. Seen here is Berry Pop (the brighter of the two, a rich pink) and Peach Pop, more of an orange-tinted pink.
HOURGLASS AMBIENT LIGHTING BLUSH, £28
Another recent release are these Ambient Lighting Blushers; each of the blushers is a combination of an Ambient Lighting Powder, balanced with a perfecting blush colour to give a ‘lit from within’ glow and a flush of fresh colour with every application.
As you can see, the blushers are veined with one of the six shades of the skin-perfecting powders to make a unique product that provides skin with a wash of pigment while also helping to give skin a really soft-focus glow. Seen here is Mood Exposure, a flawless yet subtle pink that is swirled with the Mood Light powder – each of the blush shades has been created to work with it’s powder shade to make for an uplifting, complexion-perfecting product.
The hint of shimmer really defines the face and adds a hint of radiance to the skin, meaning they’re the perfect choice for Spring.
KEVYN AUCOIN CREAMY GLOW BLUSH, £21
These were a staple of ours throughout last summer, so it’s only right they’re sitting proudly in our makeup bag once more. These creamy blushers are the ultimate option for dewy cheeks, the colour is truly so radiant and they look incredibly fresh once applied.
These are some of the most effortless cream blushers we’ve come across; for one, they’re super easy to apply and almost impossible to go wrong with – the colour is pigmented but they blend so well so you can really find a result that suits you.
Tansoleil is a lovely peachy coral, which is why we’ve named it a flattering option for Spring. It has a warm undertone which means it works for all skin tones, we expect this to be a holiday staple too.
LIZ EARLE HEALTHY GLOW CREAM BLUSH, £16.50
It’s true to say that Liz Earle’s colour offerings are just as impressive as their line of skincare; the Healthy Glow blushers are our one-stop product for achieving a natural hint of colour to the cheeks. The brand have produced a number of lovely shades that flatter the skin, we particularly love Nectar, a bright coral hue that always awakens the complexion.
These can be applied with fingers or a good brush – we love using the warmth from our fingers to press and blend the colour, it never fails to look completely natural.
These creamy offerings are well worth every penny and so much more.
REVLON POWDER BLUSH, £7.99
In terms of affordable cheek products, this Revlon Powder Blush in Haute Pink is something every girl should own. That may sound like a bold claim, but the addictive colour is a favourite of ours – Haute Pink is the ultimate pop of colour for this time of year, the cool-toned pink flatters all skin tones when applied and the powder formula means there will be no budging during the day.
If you’re already a lover of bright blush hues, or wish to experiment with your makeup, this is a great place to start as it’s not overly pigmented and it’s easy to get a natural but noticeable colour to the cheeks.
Revlon have done it again, although we do wish there were a few more shades in the range!
